37 Creative Methods to Repurpose Old Picture Frames
If you have some old, broken, or unused picture frames lying around that you know will not benefit any use in your home decorating scheme, why not disassemble and use them as wall art? You can find many different ways to repurposed picture frames as wall art without breaking the bank, so get out there and start looking. You might be surprised at the results you get by just doing this one simple project.
The first way I would suggest is that you start by removing the frame from the wall. It is best if you could take it down to the floor level, then gently set it on the floor in front of you. Take a nice clean and soft bristle brush and give the old picture frames a good brushing. This will loosen up any dirt, dust, or grime that may be on edge. Now you can either let the frame dry on the floor or hang it out to dry by itself. Once it has dried, cleaning the frame is another story, but I am not a plumber so that I will leave that up to you!
After you have your frame clean and you feel like it is ready to be used, I would suggest that you clean the surrounding area as well. Get some rubbing alcohol, spray some cleaner, and rub in a circular motion around the room. Rubbing alcohol is very strong, so wear a face mask if you will do this several times. The cleaner should kill any bacteria living in the cracks and crevices of the picture frame. Once this has been done, it is time to apply your new wall art and source unknown!
